I decided to do a food highlight for 2018 and there’s no surprise that majority of it was from Florida where I pretty much did most of the eating this year. As I am a sucker for a good burger, there’s also no surprise that burgers featured the most. These food were from all around the world, USA, Spain, Portugal and UK.
Cheesecake Factory
We didn’t plan on eating at the Cheesecake Factory in Florida as we just went there to get a cheesecake then we suddenly decided to get some “small” starters as a snack.
I got the Mac and Cheese Balls appetiser and was pretty impressed how good it tasted, I wasn’t really a fan of the idea of the concept of fried Mac and Cheese, but it was the most interesting thing as a appetiser on the menu, so I gave it a shot. It felt more of a main than appetiser.
Also for the main event, I had the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake.

The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar
This was a cool restaurant as there were many fusion foods with burgers and sushi that I wanted to try, such as their sushi burgers. Took me a while to choose what to have and eventually I opted for The Big Squeal Burger.

Keke’s Breakfast
One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had, we waited for over an hour for a table which was a sign that it was going to be good.
I had a Three Meat Omelette with Ham, Sausage, Turkey and “White American cheese”. It was included with bacon and cheese potatoes, and toast on the side.

Wendy’s Triple Baconator Cheeseburger
One of the best burgers I’ve had this year, only thing was that it was quite smaller than I expected considering it was a “triple” and didn’t take me long to finish, would be nice if the burger was bigger. It also came with a really nice refreshing fruit juice which was really nice!

German Doner Kebab
Every year I go to Birmingham usually for Bodypower and I would go to German Doner Kebab, which do my favourite kebab. Their Doner kebab is like a posh gourmet kebab and instead of a normal pitta bread, they use some sort of waffle bread, which is a bit like a sandwich. Also it’s not too greasy.

Carbonara and Pancetta Lasagne
First night in Madrid, we found this restaurant on TripAdvisor with good reviews. I never had a Carbonara Lasagne before and thought it would be interesting to give it a try. It also came with a Spanish or Italian bread, can’t remember what it was called.
Also the waiter that served us was really nice, I had to wait longer for my food and she was really apologetic, she gave us all some free Limoncello.

Nah Nah Bah’s Toucan Burger
Apparently this place in Lagos, Portugal has a top 50 burger in the world called The Toucan Burger, it was a good burger but not sure if it is one of the best burgers I’ve had. The fries/chips are also interesting, very crispy and it is topped in some kind of seasoning that I can’t figure out.
