When the weather is hot, ice cream can be tempting but a healthy alternative can be an easy two ingredient sorbet that only requires strawberries and honey.
450g of Strawberries
3 Tablespoons of Honey
- Chop the strawberries in halves and place on a tray with baking paper as this prevents the strawberries from sticking onto the tray (like picture below). Then place the tray in the freezer for a couple of hours.
- This is tricky bit, put the frozen strawberries into the food processor, or alternatively you can use a blender, the hard bit is trying to blend the strawberries into like a slushie. I had to blend it a couple of times with different speeds on my food processor to get the strawberries to finally blend. I did think of giving up at one point and leave to melt then try again, but after some patience, I finally managed to turn the strawberries into a slushie.
- One that has been done, place the strawberry slushie into a deeper tray and place in the freezer overnight.
